CHINNOR RFC THAME
Chinnor Rugby Community Department started in 2018 and has already reached over 15,000 children and young adults across Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties. The community department deliver over 100 hours of coaching per week in schools such as Ashfold School and Swanbourne House. We also deliver in primary schools and secondary schools through our Reading & Rugby programmes. This engagement with schools allows a number of 1st
team players to combine their playing commitments with coaching in the community. it also provides a platform for academy players to gain coaching qualifications for the future. The department will generate over £150,000 in 2019/20 season through community initiatives. This revenue into the department allows us to work heavily with mentoring children to assist with behaviour and general well being in schools and society.
