FYLDE Rugby Community Foundation helped to supply children with nutritious meals during the February half-term.

Working in partnership with Streetwise Youth Community charity and Fylde Borough Council, the Foundation supported vulnerable and disadvantaged families.

Over the course of the week, 1,500 meals were delivered to children in the Fylde area, with a takeaway breakfast offering also available from Fylde RFC.

Phill Mills, Head of Community Coaching at Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, said: “With the current pandemic affecting families across the country, we were pleased to be able to assist by offering breakfast and lunch to those in need. We would like to say thank you to Fylde Borough Council and The National Lottery for providing us with funding so we could deliver the project. It was also our pleasure to support Streetwise in the delivery of meals to children across Fylde.”

The Foundation also recently set up a drop-off food bank at Fylde RFC.

Open from 9am-4:30pm on weekdays, longer life food items are being accepted. Please click HERE for further details.
