FYLDE Rugby Community Foundation is to provide a takeaway breakfast offering during the February half-term for children who would usually receive a free school meal.
From Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19, families can go to Fylde RFC’s Woodlands Memorial Ground, Blackpool Road, between 9am-11am.
They will be served a free healthy and nutritious takeaway breakfast, with the offering including a hot meal, cereals and a variety of drinks.
This is a drop-in service for families, but please adhere to the government guidelines around social distancing at all times.
Fylde Rugby Community Foundation’s Head of Community Coaching, Phill Mills said: “Alongside our deliveries and drop-off food bank, we wanted to continue providing families with nutritious meals during half-term. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we hope this will be a helpful service to the local community.”
The Foundation has been working closely with Westminster Primary Academy School in Blackpool to deliver food parcels to children in need. If you are a school and would like help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
