COMMUNITY Group is pleased to be able to deliver its first Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Camp at High Wycombe RUFC this Christmas. The HAF programme is a Government funded scheme that aims to provide childcare and nutritional meals to children from disadvantaged families during the school holidays.
Community Group has delivered the project at its other partner clubs across the country over the last 18 months and is pleased to now introduce it at High Wycombe RUFC.
Working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, the HAF Camp will take place between 10am-2pm across December 21-23. The camp is for children aged 5-12 and it will involve sports, arts and crafts, a gaming bus, Christmas Dinner and much more.
Head of Community at High Wycombe RUFC, Joe Pegg, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council to deliver our first HAF camp at the club.
“The HAF camp is a fantastic way to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition.
“During unprecedented times it is imperative that we support members of our community in any way we can and our HAF camp will help provide this in a time which can be very difficult for families.”
