COMMUNITY Group has supported partner club Stourbridge Rugby in the delivery of a Panthers Training Camp.
Women’s rugby is a relatively new addition to Stourbridge Rugby’s offering, with more than 50 ladies and girls joining the club.
The training camp saw Head of Community Chad Thorne, Director of Rugby Neil Mitchell and First XV coaches and players take training, focusing on core skills, scrummaging, lineouts and attack, with more than 40 players attending.
Chad explained: “The purpose of the day was to welcome the players to Stourbridge Rugby. They are a massive part of the club and Stourbridge’s future. They received some coaching from experienced players and coaches in an enjoyable session, with a view to help them improve and develop.”
The intention is to enter a ladies team into league rugby and if you would like further information, please contact Gwain Dunn by clicking HERE.
